Peer Review Policy

Journal of Quranic Teaching and Learning upholds a rigorous and transparent peer-review process to ensure the credibility, relevance, and scholarly quality of every manuscript considered for publication. All submissions must be processed through the journal’s official online system, which serves as the platform for managing the entire review workflow in accordance with established peer-review standards.

Selection of Manuscripts

The Editorial Board is committed to maintaining an efficient, fair, and academically sound review process. Each submitted manuscript is assessed based on the strength of its scholarly contribution, methodological rigor, and alignment with the journal’s focus and scope. Only manuscripts that demonstrate clear relevance to Quranic teaching, learning, and related scholarly fields will proceed to the review stage.

Selection of Reviewers

To maintain academic integrity, the Editorial Board assigns reviewers who possess demonstrated expertise in the subject area of the manuscript. Consideration is given to avoid any potential conflicts of interest and to ensure that reviews are conducted independently and objectively. Each manuscript is evaluated by independent experts, and when deemed necessary, the Editorial Board may invite additional reviewers to ensure a balanced and comprehensive assessment. The journal follows the best-practice guidelines of scholarly publishing to avoid selecting unqualified or falsified reviewers.

Review Process and Transparency

The peer-review process adheres to established scholarly criteria, including clarity of objectives, theoretical originality, methodological appropriateness, analytical depth, scientific contribution, and the accuracy and relevance of cited literature. Reviewer feedback is communicated to the corresponding author through the online submission system for required revisions or clarification. Based on these assessments, the Editorial Board determines the final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript. All communication among authors, reviewers, and editors is facilitated exclusively through the online system. The journal also utilizes plagiarism-detection software to ensure the originality of all submitted work.

Confidentiality

The Editorial Board is responsible for safeguarding the confidentiality of all materials submitted to the journal. This includes preserving the anonymity of both authors and reviewers through the implementation of a double-blind review process. All documents, comments, and editorial communications are treated as confidential and are not disclosed outside the review process.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

The journal upholds strict adherence to policies regarding the disclosure of potential conflicts of interest for both authors and reviewers. The Editorial Board ensures that any relevant competing interests are addressed in accordance with ethical publishing standards. Throughout the review and publication process, the Editorial Board provides guidance and support to authors and reviewers to maintain transparency, ethical integrity, and academic professionalism.
